I notice very little, if any, roughness or hesitation when I accelerate, but when I am cruising at speed and I take a little off the throttle or start to coast, I get a hiccup. ![]() The engine is hiccuping or hesitating when I decelerate. Is the pedal commander a solution, is the hesitation normal on these trucks, or am i loosing my mind. Vehicles that are receiving ample fuel and are otherwise well-tuned, should take off as expected. I have a 1998 T100, 3.4L, manual tranny, 4x4, 165,000 miles. But, if the pedal commander would solve my issue of hesitation, then i could dial the pedal commander down to a reasonable setting. My problem with the pedal commander is my right foot will always go to the floor and get me in trouble and on the way to getting in trouble i would need to stop at a fuel station to fill up. I have read numerous threads on the pedal commander. It hesitates for about 3 seconds (like a delay in acceleration) and then the truck accelerates as normal. Part of your deceleration issue is just the transmission downshifting as you slow down. However if I am traveling at about 30MPH, and proceed to slow down, but not come to a stop, and then accelerate from about 15-10MPH the truck does not accelerate.
